A 2 mil, (50 microns) high strength aluminum foil coated with an aggressive, high temperature acrylic adhesive system. The foil conforms well to both fibrous and sheet metal ducts, providing an excellent vapor seal. The malleable foil also conforms well around corners and to irregular surfaces. Coated with a special cold weather acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive system which combines superior quick stick at normal temperatures with superior low temperature performance below freezing ? this is the ultimate in cold weather tapes. Recommended for use at normal and elevated temperatures also.

A 3.4 mil, self-adhesive insulation tape, designed for mechanical and architectural use, formulated for permanent adhesion, maximum moisture-vapor impermeability, quick and efficient application and aesthetic finishing. Tape facing is the same as most SWV facings currently used for insulation vapor barriers and similar surfaces.

This tape is characterized by its ability to remain tacky after being applied. The initial tack of the adhesive holds the tape in place and the adhesion continues to build up until the maximum adhesive value is achieved, which is usually after a few hours. The adhesive continues to stay tacky, resulting in a permanent bond.

The single most important characteristic of this tape is its ability to adapt to uneven surfaces of insulation, dusty surfaces, tears, etc. This ability is a function of adhesive coat weight; the higher the coat weight, the easier the adhesive can flow into surface irregularities and the better the adhesion.
